Visiting CA soon? Come to Napa. Easy to get to from Northern CA airports: SFO, OAK, SJC, SMC, STS

If your travels bring you to Northern California, book a few extra days to visit Napa. You’ll experience some of the world’s finest wines in one of the most beautiful wine regions (and we’re not just bragging!).

When you’re traveling by air, driving distance to Napa from the local airports is :

• 34 miles from Sonoma County Airport (STS); about one hour by car
• 63 miles from Oakland International Airport (OAK); roughly 90 minutes
• 70 miles from San Francisco International Airport (SFO); about a two-hour drive
• 75 miles from Sacramento International Airport (SMF); approximately 90 minutes
• 94 miles from San Jose International Airport (SJC);about two hours

The San Francisco Airport and Oakland Airport have shuttle buses with fixed schedules to Napa.

From San Francisco, you can also take a ferry to Napa Valley. A scenic and leisurely boat ride to Vallejo drops you close to the Transit Center with bus service to Napa.

Amtrak’s San Joaquin train runs from California’s Bay Area and Central Valley to the Martinez station. Take Amtrak Thruway Bus Route 7, and in three stops, you’ll arrive near downtown Napa.

You can also engage private transportation services, such as limousines, SUVs, or buses to get from airports to Napa and surrounding wineries.
