ARRIVAL DATE
Dec 30
DEPARTURE DATE
Dec 31

Most people look at Napa Valley as wine country. While Napa certainly has its famed wines and gourmet food, it is also home to some of the most breathtaking nature experiences and sights.

One organization, the Land Trust of Napa County, has been working particularly hard to preserve and conserve Napa’s resources and natural landmarks. They have more than 65,000 acres protected and ready to explore. As a member, you can enjoy group walks.

However, if you are not a Napa resident, there are still plenty of ways to explore nature, including:

  • Napa Valley Vine Trail: This 47-mile walk and bike trail connects all of Napa Valley. While some components of the trail are under construction, the areas open are artistic, breathtaking, and let you explore Napa Valley’s nature behind-the-scenes.
  • Explore Alston Park: This 158-acre park has rolling hills and three miles of trail open to horseback riding. There are also trails for dog walking, hiking, and mountain biking.
  • Trancas Crossing Park: This 33-acre park was donated to the Land Trust of Napa County by the famous golfer, Johnny Miller, back in 2001. It has trails and access for boats into the Napa River. The park is breathtaking, and groups have worked hard to restore the native trees, habitats, and plants of the area.
  • Napa Valley Bike Tours: Get out on the open road with just two wheels beneath you and enjoy an organized tour from Napa Valley Bike Tours. Ladera Vineyards also offers their “Cycle the Road Less Traveled” package that takes you on a six-mile ride.

“…has everything you need – clean room, friendly staff, and great location.”

“We had a great stay; Gary Dent was an amazing manager. He helped us plan each day, told us the best places to eat and taste wine. He was a breath of fresh air and very helpful. He really made our visit better.”
